Dubrovnik recently gained a new destination that will delight wine and history lovers – the Wine Museum of the Dubrovnik region. Located in the historic Pucić summer residence at Pile, this museum offers a unique insight into the region's long-standing tradition of winemaking and is an excellent choice for incentive programs or an additional social program as part of congresses and conferences in Dubrovnik.
Triple Experience – Museum, Tasting, and Wine Shop
The museum is conceptually divided into three parts. The first part, the museum itself, guides visitors through the entire process of winemaking – from the origin of the vine, cultivation, and processing, to transportation and trade through the centuries, from ancient times to today. Special emphasis is placed on the importance of viticulture in the history of the Dubrovnik region, which today boasts more than 400 registered winemakers. Visitors can also enjoy multimedia content, including a cinema hall and an information centre.
The second part of the museum is an elegant tasting room with Victorian furniture, where visitors can taste different wine menus featuring wines from local producers.
Additionally, the museum offers a Wine Shop where premium wines from Dubrovnik winemakers can be purchased, along with other local products such as olive oils, salts, and handmade ceramic souvenirs.
Special Offers for Groups and Conferences
The Wine Museum offers a range of options for groups, tailored for incentive programs or social events at congresses and conferences. Some of the options include:
- A visit to the museum with wine tasting – for up to 30 people in an intimate tasting room.
- A visit to the museum without wine tasting – for those who want to explore the historical aspect in detail.
- Wine tasting – without a museum tour, for a quicker program.
- Privatization of one floor of the museum – for larger groups of up to 100 people, allowing a special experience in a private setting.
All details regarding the offer, wines, and prices are subject to negotiation and customization according to the wishes and needs of the client and the event.
Historic Location in the Heart of Dubrovnik
The historic Pucić summer residence, where the museum is located, is a representative building constructed in 1780 and is among the most beautiful palaces in Dubrovnik, situated in a very attractive location at the entrance to Dubrovnik's historic centre. The former home of a wealthy Dubrovnik family now provides a beautiful space for wine lovers, combining history, architecture, and the region's premium wines, through the ground floor and two upper floors of the summer residence.
A visit to the Wine Museum is an ideal opportunity for congress guests or incentive groups to relax, connect with local culture, and enjoy the flavours and history that the Dubrovnik region offers.
