Dubrovnik is experiencing increased air traffic this summer, with a significant improvement and a return in demand compared to previous years. Numerous airlines have resumed operations at Dubrovnik Airport, which is now connected to over 60 worldwide destinations. Additionally, a newly renovated business lounge is now available to all passengers traveling within the Schengen area. This exclusive area within the airport is designed to provide comfort, convenience, and privacy for business travellers before their flights.
With the summer flight schedule for 2023, Dubrovnik Airport hosts numerous European and globally renowned airlines, including KLM, Air France, Lufthansa, British Airways (which also operates during the winter season), Austrian Airlines, Air Serbia, SAS, Aer Lingus, Finnair, Turkish Airlines, Polish LOT, and Croatia's national carrier, Croatia Airlines. At the end of May, the regular direct route between the United States and Croatia, specifically between New York and Dubrovnik, resumed with American carrier United Airlines offering four weekly flights. Dubrovnik also has a direct connection with Dubai, and several low-cost carriers such as Eurowings, Ryanair, Wizz Air, Vueling, Volotea, and others connect Dubrovnik with numerous European airports.
Moreover, Dubrovnik is an important leisure destination for carriers like Jet2.com and TUI from the UK. In this year's summer schedule, TUI offers up to eight regular flights to Dubrovnik Airport from various British cities, mainly catering to passengers transitioning to cruise ships. These routes originate from London, Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester, Glasgow, Cardiff, East Midlands, and Bristol, with wide-body aircraft like the B787-8 serving the London and Manchester routes, offering a capacity of up to 300 passengers.
Consequently, Dubrovnik is connected to over 60 worldwide destinations this summer. In addition to the mentioned British cities, New York, and Dubai, other destinations include Amsterdam, Athens, Barcelona, Basel, Vienna, Belfast, Belgrade, Bergen, Berlin, Bolzano, Bordeaux, Bratislava, Brussels, Bucharest, Cardiff, Cologne, Copenhagen, Cork, Dublin, Düsseldorf, Edinburgh, Frankfurt, Geneva, Hamburg, Helsinki, Istanbul, Katowice, Luxembourg, Lyon, Madrid, Marseille, Munich, Nantes, Naples, Oslo, Paris, Prague, Wroclaw, Riga, Rome, Rotterdam, Stavanger, Stockholm, Stuttgart, Tallinn, Toulouse, Warsaw, Venice, Vilnius, as well as domestic destinations such as Osijek, Zagreb, and Rijeka.
One of Croatia's Best Business Lounges
In addition to increased passenger numbers and air routes, Dubrovnik Airport offers another novelty in this year's summer flight schedule. As all airports in Croatia have adjusted their passenger flows to the Schengen regime, Dubrovnik has facilitated the movement and passage of passengers through the airport. Furthermore, all business travellers with destinations within the Schengen area, including domestic flights within Croatia, now have access to the newly renovated business lounge called the Adriatic Lounge.
The business lounge at Dubrovnik Airport is a modern, spacious area with a beautiful view of the runway. In a peaceful environment, passengers can enjoy a pleasant atmosphere, charge their electronic devices, watch TV, and have access to a bar offering fresh fruit, as well as a variety of snacks in the form of sandwiches and canapés, along with beverages. The capacity of the business lounge is 50 passengers, and it can be used by passengers on Croatia Airlines flights as well as other members of Star Alliance, such as Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines. In addition to this lounge, Dubrovnik Airport has two more lounges dedicated to non-Schengen passengers.
