The second week of the Good Food Festival brings a continuation of top-notch gastronomy, featuring numerous workshops, wine evenings, themed dinners, and culinary encounters with renowned chefs. Visitors can look forward to exciting Zero Waste and pastry workshops, creative gatherings at the Deša Association, the Vinorel painting workshop, special dinners with live music, as well as wine tastings in collaboration with well-known Croatian wineries. The festival also offers a Farm Day picnic in nature, where guests can taste local olive oils and products, culminating in the grand finale – the traditional Dubrovnik Feast on Stradun.
Throughout the festival, from October 6th to 19th, over sixty restaurants in Dubrovnik, Župa Dubrovačka, Cavtat, Konavle, and the Dubrovnik Riviera are offering special festival menus, breakfasts, and sweet treats at promotional prices. Additionally, the “Samo hrvatsko” market will take place in Gruž, inviting all food and wine lovers to enjoy a unique atmosphere combining flavors, aromas, and great fun.
On Monday, October 13th, the Deša Association will host a Zero Waste workshop using old bread led by Irina Brajčić, followed by a traditional “ispod peke” dinner at Local restaurant from 7:00 to 10:00 PM, accompanied by live music and a cozy local gastronomic atmosphere.
On Tuesday, October 14th, Irina Brajčić’s workshop returns to Deša, this time on the theme Three Flavors – Sauce, Cream, Emulsion. At the same time, Lucijan restaurant will host a Chef’s Table showcasing new recipe flavors, while in the evening, starting at 7:00 PM, Dubrovnik restaurant will present a themed dinner Whisper of Flavors by top chefs Rok Nikolić and Dalibor Vidović, accompanied by live music from the duo Lino & Anja.
On Wednesday, October 15th, Deša Association will hold an apple and carob pastry workshop led by Jela Kusić. That evening, at 7:00 PM, Marco Polo restaurant will offer a tasting menu paired with wines from Boškinac winery, guided by experienced oenologists.
On Thursday, October 16th, at the Student Dorm from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, chef Ante Dropuljić will give a lecture and workshop on Zero Waste. From 6:00 to 8:00 PM, the Vinorel painting workshop takes place at Škar Winery, blending art and wine, and the evening concludes with a special dinner with renowned chef Marijo Curić at Ruđer restaurant, where visitors can enjoy a carefully curated menu paired with select wines.
On Friday, October 17th, the Deša Association will host a Tiramisu workshop led by Mate Brnjić. That evening, from 6:00 PM, Lucijan restaurant will hold the “S Plate” dinner, followed by a wine evening at 7:00 PM at Orsan restaurant in collaboration with Crvik winery.
Saturday, October 18th, is dedicated to nature, socializing, and tradition. At the Knez rural estate in Pobrežje, a Farm Day picnic will feature olive oil tastings, olive harvesting, lunch, and live music. Bus transport is organized — departure at 9:30 AM from Grawe station, returning at 3:30 PM from Pobrežje. In the evening, the last dinner with a renowned chef will take place at Natali Summer House, featuring chef Mario Mandarić. Fans of modern cuisine can enjoy a fusion dinner at Urban & Veggie restaurant, starting at 7:00 PM.
The final day of the festival, Sunday, October 19th, offers a sweet ending with Sweet Sunday at Lucijan restaurant in The Pucić Palace Hotel, where guests can enjoy a rich selection of pastries and creative cocktails. From 7:00 PM, a wine evening will take place at Port 22 restaurant in collaboration with Saint Hills winery, culminating in the traditional Dubrovnik Feast at 9:00 AM, featuring a performance by the Ragusa klapa. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Poseban Prijatelj Dubrovnik Association.
In addition to special restaurant menus, the festival program includes Program Plus this year as well, featuring gourmet tours of the Old Town, a culinary trip to Pelješac and Ston, and the Croatian product market Samo hrvatsko in Park Luja Šoletića in Gruž, from October 11th to 18th, organized by the Veterans Association of the 72nd Military Police Battalion.
