The prestigious American magazine Global Traveler has named Dubrovnik the Best Leisure Destination for Groups as part of its 13th annual Leisure Lifestyle Awards. Dubrovnik took first place ahead of destinations such as Costa Rica, Los Cabos (Mexico), Italy, and Cartagena (Colombia).

This year’s award is the result of a reader survey conducted by Global Traveler between September 20, 2024, and January 30, 2025. The survey included open-ended questions about the best in various luxury and lifestyle travel categories. It was made available in the magazine’s print edition, as an insert for subscribers, through direct mail, online at globaltravelerusa.com/leisureballot, and via email.

"American tourists rank first in terms of arrivals and second in terms of overnight stays. United Airlines’ direct flights connecting Dubrovnik and the U.S. further emphasize the importance of the American market. This recognition significantly contributes to Dubrovnik’s visibility in that market," said Miroslav Drašković, Director of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board.

The award was accepted on behalf of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board by Leila Krešić-Jurić, Director of the Croatian National Tourist Board Representative Office in the United States.
