New Edition of Welcome Magazine Presented at Palace Natali
Celebrating a Year of Great Anniversaries and the Inexhaustible Beauty of the City
In the elegant setting of Palace Natali, the 35th issue of the Welcome tourism magazine was presented on May 15, organized by the Dubrovnik Tourist Board. This bilingual annual publication, traditionally offering a unique insight into the cultural, historical, and contemporary offerings of the City, once again delivers rich and diverse content for all visitors to Dubrovnik.
The focus of the new issue is on three major anniversaries that mark the city's vibrant cultural scene: 100 years of the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, 80 years of the Dubrovnik Art Gallery, and 60 years of the Linđo Folklore Ensemble. Through in-depth articles and photographs, the magazine shares stories about the history, significance, and future plans of these important cultural institutions.
The event was attended by media representatives, article authors, and numerous collaborators who contributed to the creation of this edition—recognized as a true guardian of Dubrovnik's cultural heritage. In addition to these major anniversaries, the issue also features stories about the statues of Saint Blaise, the summer stage at Orsula, natural oases such as the island of Šipan, the perfumery Essence of Dubrovnik, which tells the City’s identity through fragrance, as well as Dubrovnik diplomacy, gardens, and top-tier sporting events like the Dubrovnik Triathlon.
