Always an indispensable part of the closing ceremony of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival are the Croatian Radio and Television Orchestra, this summer once again under the baton of Dubrovnik's favourite maestro Ivan Repušić. The opera gala, as is tradition, will be held in front of the Cathedral where one of the most promising, young talents in opera today will be performing - American soprano Nadine Sierra, praised for her vocal beauty, seamless technique, and abundant musicality and this year's "Boris Papandopulo" National Competition for Young Musicians winner, tenor Filip Filipović.
