Dubrovnik is a city that charms with its cultural scene, festivals, open air concerts, as well as concerts in historic venues, gardens, next to the sea.... Artists from all over the world provide unforgettable enjoyment for Dubrovnik’s guests through superb performances on picturesque open-air stages such as the atrium of Sponza Palace, the Island of Lokrum, the Revelin Fortress, Rector's Palace, or Park Orsula.

Throughout the year in Dubrovnik, you will find some event that matches your taste. From exhibitions by international and Croatian artists in a number of galleries, to modern and alternative performances in the Lazareti art space. During the year, theatre performances are performed on the baroque stage of the Marin Držić Theatre, while in the summer theatre revives palaces, atriums, and fortresses. The event ˝Midsummer Scene˝ at the St. Lawrence Fortress stages Shakespeare's most famous titles performed in the original English language, and the central summer event is the long-enduring and most famous Croatian cultural event – the Dubrovnik Summer Festival. During the 45 days of the festival all of Dubrovnik becomes a big stage for ballet, jazz, folklore, classical, and opera concerts, and theatre performances.

Be sure to attend one of the concerts of the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, which organizes appealing concerts and seasonal festivals throughout the year, to take part in the Dubrovnik Winter Festival from Advent until the Festivity of St. Blaise, to welcome the New Year on the most spectacular stage – Stradun, to become acquainted with Easter customs in the spring and to enjoy traditional klapa songs during the ˝Aklapela˝ festival in April, to taste regional wines at the Dubrovnik FestiWine or to get to know the history of film production in our city through the event ˝Quiet, please – Dubrovnik and film love each other˝. An opera festival, the popular music festival at Park Orsula ... Dubrovnik abounds with a variety of events for all ages.

A significant event that marks Dubrovnik’s autumn is the Good Food Festival, which offers a variety of programs over four days with a focus on good food and fine wines, highlighting both Dubrovnik's traditional cuisine, as well as modern trends in gastronomy. The Good Food Festival is for hedonists and true gourmands.
