AI, Innovation & Impact: Dubrovnik to Host the 10th BEE Conference in May 2025

From May 28–31, 2025, Dubrovnik’s historic Centre for Advanced Academic Studies (CAAS) will once again become a vibrant hub of intellectual exchange and entrepreneurial spirit as it hosts the 10th Business & Entrepreneurial Economics – BEE 2025 Conference. This milestone event marks a decade of fostering collaboration among leading experts, researchers, and professionals in the fields of business, entrepreneurship and economics.

Organized by a network of esteemed academic and professional partners, BEE 2025 offers a unique platform to share forward-thinking ideas, address pressing economic and entrepreneurial challenges and explore how science, innovation and education can drive sustainable development.

Shaping the Future of Entrepreneurship

With an emphasis on real-world applicability and the latest industry trends, BEE 2025 will feature a diverse programme of presentations, panel discussions and networking opportunities. Topics span a wide spectrum - from digital entrepreneurship, green and digital innovation and strategic leadership in SMEs, to entrepreneurial well-being, education for future founders and social business models.

One of this year’s most exciting additions is a roundtable session dedicated to current topics in entrepreneurship, promising dynamic dialogue and actionable insights.

Inspiring Keynotes from Global Thought Leaders

This year’s conference welcomes two distinguished keynote speakers who are sure to inspire both academics and practitioners.

Dr. Anita Rose, Assistant Professor at Florida Gulf Coast University’s Daveler & Kauanui School of Entrepreneurship, will deliver a keynote titled: “Revolutionizing Entrepreneurship Education: Leveraging AI to Empower the Next Generation of Innovators.” Dr. Rose will explore how artificial intelligence is transforming the educational landscape, offering powerful tools to personalize learning, accelerate ideation, and simulate real-world business scenarios. From generating startup ideas to analysing markets and financial forecasting, her session will showcase how educators and entrepreneurs alike can embrace AI to spark creativity, develop critical thinking, and promote responsible innovation.

Dr. Vladica Ristic of Belgrade Metropolitan University will present “The Greatest Among the Great”
a thought-provoking exploration of the lives and legacies of five extraordinary scientists—Pythagoras, Archimedes, Al-Khwarizmi, Ruđer Bošković and Dubrovnik’s own Benedikt Kotruljević. This keynote reflects on how their groundbreaking work in mathematics, astronomy, economics, and philosophy continues to influence contemporary science, entrepreneurship, and innovation. It also offers a compelling reminder of Dubrovnik’s historical significance as a cradle of intellectual achievement.

With its blend of timeless heritage and modern academic infrastructure, Dubrovnik is an ideal destination for international conferences like BEE 2025. The city’s Centre for Advanced Academic Studies offers state-of-the-art facilities in a breathtaking seaside setting - where medieval walls meet cutting-edge ideas.
