Dubrovnik to host the 22nd Meeting of the EA4HP and SH
Dubrovnik is set to become a hub of scientific discourse and innovation as it hosts the 22nd Meeting of the European Association for Haematopathology (EA4HP) and the Society for Hematopathology (SH). The event will take place from the 21st to the 26th of September 2024, at the Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik hotel, offering all participants a unique blend of cutting-edge research, expert insights and the breathtaking beauty of Croatia’s Adriatic coast.
The 22nd EA4HP-SH Meeting is organized by the European Association for Haematopathology (EA4HP) in collaboration with the Society for Hematopathology (SH), Chair local organiser being esteemed Croatian pathologist Prof. Snježana Dotlić, MD, Ph.D. These two leading organizations are at the forefront of advancing the field of hematopathology, fostering collaboration and sharing knowledge among specialists worldwide. Their joint efforts ensure that this biennial meeting will be a cornerstone event for professionals in the field, featuring an exceptional scientific program.
The scientific program of the EA4HP-SH 2024 Meeting includes a mixture of keynote and topic lectures supplemented by oral abstract and poster presentations. Main topics include:
- Lymphoma - novel mechanisms in lymphomagenesis with specific sessions dedicated to clonal lymphoid haematopoiesis, epigenetics in lymphomagenesis and lymphoproliferations associated with germline abnormalities. These will be complemented by a session addressing new frontiers in the treatment of lymphoma and a traditional recent advances session.
- Bone marrow - in depth focus on novel discoveries in mechanisms in reactive bone marrow conditions and neoplastic myeloid and precursor cell neoplasms with specific sessions dedicated to bone marrow changes linked to systemic infectious and non-infectious disorders.
Other highlights include keynote lectures by leading experts in the field, David Y Mason’s award and Meet the Professor Sessions. Among the keynotes Karl Lennert’s lecture on malignant lymphomas and David Mason’s lecture on molecular and cellular mechanisms of thymic and post thymic T-cell development stand out.
