Explore the walls of Dubrovnik and the secrets of the island of Lokrum in a sea adventure by kayak
Certainly one of the most popular and interesting tours in Dubrovnik is kayaking. A great idea for incentives or an accompanying social program of your congress and conference that will awaken the inner childhood spirit of exploration and desire for adventure in the participants. Discovering the monumental walls, the indomitable guardians of Dubrovnik from the sea, and the mysterious bays and caves of the island of Lokrum, they will get to know Dubrovnik's history and beauty in an exciting way.

Kayak adventures usually start in the Pile bay, a harbour located below the Lovrjenac fortress. Participants are welcomed by a licensed tour guide who introduces them to the tour program, all safety measures and equipment. There is a choice of a kayak with one or two seats, and all personal belongings can be stored safely in a waterproof barrel. Almost all kayak tours are designed so that people of all ages can participate in them and do not require a special level of fitness, but a reasonable physical form sufficient for paddling. After a demonstration on how to kayak properly, equipped with a life jacket and oars - the sea kayaking adventure can begin.

By rowing along the city walls, participants have the opportunity to get to know these imposing ramparts from the sea - exactly as Dubrovnik's enemies have faced them throughout history - and to experience them firsthand their magnificence and invincibility.

Cutting through the clear and pure blue sea with oars, enjoying the beautiful view, the kayak tour usually leads to the popular Dubrovnik excursion and bathing spot - the island of Lokrum. Numerous stories and legends have been associated with Lokrum throughout history, so it is known as the "haunted" island and the island of love, and all its secrets are revealed to the rowers during breaks from rowing by their guide. When Lokrum is approached from the sea, the unique sandy beach Betina špilja is also available, which can only be accessed from the sea. There it is possible to take a little longer break with a refreshing meal and a series of fun activities such as swimming, sunbathing, diving or jumping from cliffs. Masks with snorkels are available for tour participants to explore the underwater wealth of this beach and cave. After a 40-minute break, the participants board their kayaks again and row along the Dubrovnik coast, returning to the starting point - Pile bay.

On the way back, participants will have the opportunity to enjoy the magnificent view of Dubrovnik and its walls at sunset. Bathed in golden-yellow to red colours, with the shimmer of the sea and the first stars in the sky, Dubrovnik leaves its visitors with scenes, accessible only from the sea, that they will never forget.
