Folklore festival "Na Neretvu misečina pala"
As part of the traditional folklore festival Na Neretvu misečina pala, held annually in Metković, participants will once again showcase their performances on Dubrovnik's Stradun, thanks to the organization of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board.
On Saturday, May 31, 2025, starting at 12:00 PM in front of the Church of St. Blaise, three cultural and artistic associations will bring the richness of tradition from different parts of Croatia to the audience:
KUD Radost – Dedicated to preserving the authentic folklore of the Sisačka Posavina and Pokuplje regions. Their performances often depict festive and work-related customs, with special attention given to traditional clothing styles, KUD Seljačka sloga – From the village of Bogdanovci near Vukovar, this group has been active since 1936. They preserve original folk songs and dances from their region and will perform accompanied by a tamburitza orchestra and traditional instruments and KUD Sveta Ana (Vučjak, Karlovac) – Founded in 1996, the group operates through four sections: folklore, children's, tamburitza, and traditional vocal. They come from a picturesque part of Croatia where tradition lives on through the sounds of violins and tamburitzas, carrying the spirit of their homeland through song.
This performance will once again transform Stradun into a stage of traditional culture and music. All visitors are warmly invited to enjoy these authentic performances and celebrate the richness of Croatian folklore heritage.
