PICTURES AT AN EXHIBITION
A cycle of musical matinées brings a collection of piano works by prominent Croatian composers.
A cycle of musical matinées brings a collection of piano works by prominent Croatian composers which is powerfully coloured by the sounds and the atmosphere of the permanent exhibition in the Dulčić Masle Pulitika Gallery. The author of the program is pianist Ivana Jelača. Inspired by Modest Musorgsky's classical music suite, the program is devised as an imaginary tour through the exhibition combined with the sounds of music. At the trail of the magnificent colours of the Mediterranean landscaping and the creations of three prominent Croatian painters; Ivo Dulčić, Antun Masle and Đuro Pulitika to whom this place is dedicated, the cycle intended for all visitors of the Gallery in the historical city centre is performed on Saturdays at 12 noon: on September 07 and 14, October 26, and November 16.
This project has been implemented since 2017 by The Rest is Music NGO in partnership with the Museum of Modern Art Dubrovnik and the Dubrovnik Tourist Board.
