Notice - Safe navigation near the coast

Dear boat owners,

We would like to draw your attention to the dangers that can arise when your speedboat nears the shore, especially in close proximity to swimmers and children. In order to ensure a safe environment for everyone on the beach, we kindly ask you to consider the following guidelines:

1. Adjust your speed: Please adjust the speed of your boat and reduce it to a safe level while passing by the shore. High speeds increase the risk of accidents and can create large waves that may endanger swimmers and children.

2. Maintain distance: Keep a safe distance from the shore, swimmers, and people playing in the water. Reducing the distance can increase the risk of collisions or accidents.

3. Be cautious at harbour entrances and exits: If you are near harbours or docks, pay special attention to sailors, divers, and other shoreline users entering or exiting the water. Maintain a moderate speed and be prepared to slow down or stop to allow them a safe passage.

4. Respect rules and regulations: Always adhere to all maritime laws and regulations regarding navigation near the shore. Pay attention to speed limits, safety markers, and instructions from the relevant authorities.

5. Be aware of your surroundings: Stay aware of the environment you are in and be considerate of other shoreline users. Observe warning signs, buoys, safety markers, and other indicators that can help you navigate safely.

6. Safety education: We encourage you to regularly update your knowledge of boating safety, participate in courses or workshops that address safe navigation and regulations.

7. Water safety is our collective responsibility. Your cooperation and adherence to these guidelines will help preserve a secure environment for everyone on our shores.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
