Following a very successful first festival last year, which attracted more than five thousand visitors last autumn, the popular street food festival Bavarin is returning to Dubrovnik. The creative district of Lazareti will once again be teeming with several festival events from May 5 to 14, 2023, combining top-notch gastronomy, great entertainment, and the opportunity to participate in numerous educational workshops. The great surprise of this year's Bavarin is the special guest appearance of bartenders from the London bar Lyaness, which won the Spirited Awards for Best World Bar in 2022. And citizens and all visitors to Dubrovnik during the festival will have the opportunity to taste their special cocktails. Lyaness representatives will also hold a special presentation panel, guest shift, and workshop with young bartenders and catering staff.

Dubrovnik is currently in the midst of a season of numerous business events, conferences, and congresses, making Bavarin an excellent idea for an additional social program for your gathering. It's an opportunity for participants to relax and mingle with partners, colleagues, and other attendees after a busy business day, taste the best of Croatian food and drinks, try their hand at making the traditional Dubrovnik dessert rozata, or participate in culinary workshops, all with a background of a great music program.

Rich Gastronomic Offer, Entertainment And Culinary Workshops

Some of the best Croatian chefs will contribute to the richness of the gastronomic offer that will prevail at the festival. Robert Predrag Žmire from the excellent Mare restaurant in Trogir will prepare lamb ragout with Prošek and dried figs. While Gorana "Goge" Milaković from the popular Missy B. bistro in Split will offer her famous dish with a playful name "Chicken in a Bra." Zadar's Picnic Mingle & Fun will present its award-winning burger, Zagreb's Beg's plant-based street food will offer its unique dishes, and Tea Mamut will bring new sweet surprises from her "O'š kolač?" manufacture. The unique Dubrovnik Edulis Oyster bar will present oysters for the first time, as well as its shrimp burger, tuna tacos tartare, and as a "must-try" dish, fried mussels in a tortilla. Small and big ones will be taught how to make desserts by MasterChef contender Leo Jurešić, and the extremely popular chef Ivan Pažanin will also cook at the festival.

Several workshops have also been announced for younger visitors, including a painting class with renowned designer Anamarija Asanović, who will show visitors how to paint their "grocery bags.” And adults will be able to paint at the "Kist&Pit" workshop along with a glass of wine from Saint Hills and fresh oysters. As part of this year's festival the Cinema Bavarin program is being launched with various documentary, feature, and animated films.

Six Top-Quality Concerts to Take Place at Bavarin Street Food Festival in Dubrovnik

Good food and drink are accompanied by good music, and Bavarin, throughout the ten days, will hold six concerts by popular Croatian musicians. The opening of the festival will feature one of the longest-running stars in Croatian show business - Neno Belan and his group Fiumensi, and the following day, the true diva of the Croatian pop scene - Vanna. Dubrovnik citizens and their visitors will be entertained by the legendary Kuzma and Shaka Zulu, the young and talented Gina Damjanović and The GeeGee's and Mija Dimšić. And the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will be broadcast on a large video wall. And the Dubrovnik group Silente group will ensure that the Dubrovnik festival ends with a big round of encores.
