Župa Dubrovačka, an area with a historical name Brenum of Illyrian origin or the Slavic form of the name Žrnovnica, derived from the milling craft, is situated between the majestic city of Dubrovnik and Duboka Ljuta. It covers an area of 2,288 hectares and is home to around 6,000 residents. It is situated 6 km southeast of the historic core of Dubrovnik, in an area with a mild Mediterranean climate, clear skies, and warm seas.
Bounded by a hilly range on the northern side, which steeply descends towards a picturesque valley filled with subtropical vegetation and a series of villages in close proximity along the edge of the Župa Bay, it has united an abundance of gifts from unique nature in a small area, undoubtedly making it one of the most beautiful oases of the Dubrovnik Riviera. The widely renowned Adriatic Sea, in the azure depths of its bays with numerous sandy and pebble beaches, serves as a true confirmation of its value.
