Dubrovnik's many visitors will bring in New Year's 2017 entertained by a varied music programme that will already begin in the morning hours of December 31st, New Year's Eve. The New Year's program includes a diverse, entertaining three-day program, in which everyone will find something interesting.
On Friday, December 30th the famous Croatian pop artist Petar Grašo and the rock group Opća opasnost will perform on the big stage on Stradun. On December 31st, New Year's Eve, in the morning there will be a performance of traditional kolenda carols by the singing group klapa Ragusa as well as a cocktail show held by Dubrovnik bartenders and at noon the Children's New Year's Eve program will feature a performance by the Dance Studio Lazareti and singer Jole. The New Year's Eve 2017 evening program will begin with music by DJ Kameni, followed by a performance by Doris Dragović and the excellent Jole, one of the best entertainers of the Croatian music scene.
The extremely well-attended traditional New Year's Day concert by the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra will be held on Stradun at noon on January 1st. Under the direction of Maestro Noam Zur classical evergreens, toasting songs, and famous arias will be performed by renowned soloists Valentina Fijačko Kobić and Domagoj Dorotić. Visitors of the show will have the opportunity to taste Ston oysters accompanied by champagne.

Libertas Dubrovnik

On New Year's Eve traffic on city and suburban routes will increase significantly.

31 December 2016 – from 5 pm transport is free on all local routes and regularly transportation fees will be charged beginning from 6 am on 1 January 2017. Lines 1A, 4 and 6 will operate with the last departure at 4 am from Pile and the last departure for lines 1B, 3 and 8 will be at 3:35 am from Pile.

 

Department of transport, housing and development projects

Within the organization of New Year's Eve 2017 on Stradun on 31 December there will be a ban on all traffic in the area around the historic centre of the city from 8 pm on 31 December to 5 am on 1 January 2017. The ban on vehicles will be valid for the following streets: Zagrebačka, Petra Krešimira IV., Frana Supila, Iza Grada and Branitelja Dubrovnika. Vehicles exempt from the traffic ban are public transportatin vehicles, travel agency buses, emergency vehicles, and vehicles with a special permit. Parking at the Port of Dubrovnik will be free from 7 pm on 31 December 2016 until 7 am on 1 January 2017.

Due to the third annual New Year's street race ˝DuRun10k˝ the following streets in the City of Dubrovnik will be closed on 1 January 2017 from 1:45 pm to 3:45 pm for all vehicles: Frana Supila, Petra Krešimira IV, connecting street of Petar Krešimir IV — Iza Grada, and Iza Grada.

Temporary traffic regulations will be set up on these streets so we ask all drivers to behave in accordance with the set traffic regulations and we thank drivers for their understanding and patience in relation to the temporary traffic patterns required during the race.
