One of the most famous Croatian TV chefs, the likeable Andrej Barbieri, will be a guest of the Dubrovnik Good Food Festival 2016. He prepared his first meal at the age of seven, and this year he will share his skills with the people of Dubrovnik and their guests during an event titled ˝Dinner with a Famous Chef˝, which will be held on Saturday, October 22nd at the Hilton Imperial hotel.

As in the last two years, this evening event will be among the most popular of the festival's events and it will be organized at the Hilton Imperial hotel. Chef Andrej will prepare a exceptional selection of his specialties for the guests, with wines that are optimally paired with the food. About himself, he will tell you that in cooking he likes to ˝stay traditional˝.


Andrej Barbieri was born in Zagreb, and after a childhood spent in Lovran, he went to Italy at a very young age where he became familiar with the gastro philosophy of slow food, and since 1999 he has been entirely devoted to the culinary arts. He has led a number of restaurants around the globe: Sicily, Sardinia, Crete, Spain, and so on. Today Andrej runs the kitchen of the famous restaurant Bevanda in Opatija and  he is the chef and co-owner of the bistro Conca d'oro in Rijeka.
