Dubrovnik attracted great interest at the New York Times Travel Show, a prestigious tourism

fair that was held the fifteenth year in a row this year from January 26th to 28th. Dubrovnik's tourism offerings were presented in a joint presentation of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board and the Dubrovnik-Neretva County Tourist Board, along with the Zagreb Tourist Board and the Split-Dalmatia County Tourist Board, at the stand organised by the Croatian National Tourist Board.

During the New York Times Travel Show, the director of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board Romana Vlašić and Luka Benko from the Zagreb Tourist Board held two presentations on the European stage that revealed Dubrovnik’s and Zagreb’s tourism offerings in more detail, followed by the drawing of great prizes. The prizes were sponsored by the Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik and the Dubrovnik Sun Gardens hotel groups as well as by Croatia Airlines, which sponsored return flights on the route Zagreb-Dubrovnik. Cornelia Hall and Veronica Faustino were the lucky winners of a 3-day stay for two in Zagreb, return airplane tickets from Zagreb to Dubrovnik, a 3-day stay in Dubrovnik, sightseeing, meals in local restaurants, 3-day Dubrovnik Cards and 3-day Zagreb Cards.

The NY Times Travel Show hosts 550 exhibitors from 170 countries around the world. Around 30,000 tourism industry professionals participated in the fair. The first day of the fair is dedicated to tourism professionals, with a wide selection of professional seminars on the latest tourist products and information on tourism destinations. The following two days of the fair are open to the public and professionals alike.
