Dubrovnik's outstanding tourism results from January until September

According to information provided by E-Visitor, the system for check-in and check-out of tourists, during the first nine months of this year, Dubrovnik achieved record-breaking tourist results. From 1st January until 30th September 1.030.226 tourists stayed in Dubrovnik, which is 17% more when compared to the same period in 2016. There were 3.507.916 overnight stays, i.e. 14% more than last year. During the first nine months of 2017 there were the most tourists from the United Kingdom, the USA, France, Germany, Spain, Croatia, Australia, Sweden, Italy and Finland.


This year's September is the most successful tourist September in history. Only in September 2017 there were 164.712 arrivals, which is 16% more than the same month last year. There were also 558.927 overnight stays, which is 13% more than in 2016. The majority of guests came from the UK, followed by those from the USA, Germany, France, Australia, Spain, Canada, Ireland, Sweden and Finland.


From 1st January until 30th September, 535.667 arrivals were seen in hotels, which is an increase in the number of arrivals of 6% compared to the first nine months in 2016. There were 1.919.378 overnight stays, i.e. 4% more than last year. The most numerous hotel guests were from the following countries: the UK, the USA, France, Croatia, Spain, Germany, Korea, Japan, Australia and Sweden.

In the first nine months of this year there were 358.385 arrivals in private accommodation, i.e. 28% more than in the same period last year. There were 1.254.448 overnight stays, i.e. 24% more than last year. The most numerous tourists staying in private accommodation were from the following countries: the UK, the USA, France, Spain, Germany, Australia, Italy, Canada, Korea and Sweden.

At the moment there are 14.875 tourists staying in Dubrovnik, which is a 10% increase when compared to the same period last year. Most of those guests come from the UK, the USA, Germany, France, Korea, Australia, China, Finland, Canada and Spain.

This year the millionth visitor arrived on 24th September, whereas last year they arrived more than a month later, on 5th November 2016. With Dubrovnik Airport's two-millionth traveller and the millionth visitor of the City Walls, Dubrovnik continues achieving record-breaking tourist results.
