Two million overnight stays reached thirteen days earlier than in 2016
This year, two million overnight stays were reached on 25th July, thirteen days earlier when compared to 2016, which confirms the outstanding success of this-year's pre-peak season period, but also the ever-successful peak season. At the moment, there are 23 701 guests staying in our city in different kinds of accommodation.
From January until 25th July there were 607.862 arrivals in Dubrovnik, which is an 18% increase. There were also 2 000 546 overnight stays, which is a 16% increase when compared to last year. In this period the most numerous guests were those from the following ten countries: the UK, the USA, France, Germany, Croatia, Sweden, Spain, Australia, Finland and Norway.
The highest number of overnight stays was marked by hotels with 1 133 403 overnight stays, which accounts for 43% of the total number of overnight stays. They are followed by private accommodation with 654 995 overnight stays, i.e. 33%.
The structure of accommodation capacities in Dubrovnik consists of 11 649 regular beds in hotels, 14 599 regular beds in private accommodation, 2 793 beds in sole proprietorships and companies and 1542 beds in camps.
The data regarding tourist traffic was obtained by using the eVisitor system from the period of 1st January until 25th July and it does not include data on nautical tourist traffic.
