Dubrovnik Private Accommodation Presented During the ITB Berlin Trade Show

During the world’s largest tourism trade fair, ITB Berlin, which was held from 8 to 10 March, representatives of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board in charge of accommodation Božo Burić and Siniša Žakula participated in the presentation of Croatian family accommodation which was held as part of the round table organized by the European Holiday Home Association (EHHA), during which they discussed the economic impact of sharing economy on tourism. Representatives of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board held a special presentation for Danish and German representatives of the Novasol agency, a major European broker for family accommodation, and for representatives of internet providers such as the HomeAway platform. Croatia can offer its experience and model of governance of family accommodation to other members of the EU as an example of good practice according to all parameters, said Nedo Pinezić, President of the Association for Family Tourism within the Croatian Chamber of Economy, as was evidenced by the panel and discussion, where the positive experiences of Croatia related to private family accommodation were presented. The President of the EHHA Carlos Lassen commented how the Croatian legal regulations related to private accommodation can be a model for the rest of Europe.
